History
on a Pinhead
Early history of White Rock's settlement is sketchy at best. Earliest
mention is from the early 1930s when the community had a two-teacher
school that had approximately 50 students. By 1940, the town had added
a church and a single business. Growth was almost certainly thwarted
by the proximity to the
county seat.
By 1980, the community had added a church and community center as
well as a small cemetery for locals to be buried. The only population
figure is from 2000 when 60 people were included on that year's census.
