I am originally from Lubbock, Texas, and as I understand it from my dad, his dad went where the work was. I guess that was common back then. I assume he bought all these postcards and just collected them. The last time I was home, my dad told me to go through the box of pictures and take what I wanted. I have had them for a while and hadn't paid that much attention to them until watching some show on PBS that showed old town sites that disappeared.

My wife and I live in Edmond, Oklahoma, and I work in downtown Oklahoma City. I work as a court reporter here in the district courts, and do architectural photography and flower photography when not in court. You can visit www.kensharpe.com, and www.okview.com. Those are my two photo sites. ... I would like for everyone to see what it was like in those days. - Ken Sharpe, April 14, 2005
