Note: This is the rail system 'museum' in the old downtown part
of Plano.
If my memory is correct this system, or systems once extended from
Dallas to Denison.
I believe the Dallas DART system has long range plans to extend itself
back over that area. I think it was stated as 'very' long range. The
museum is located next to the downtown DART terminal/station. In case
you don't know, Dallas Area Rapid Transit system- subway and light
rail extends to north and northeast Dallas
as well as parts of south Dallas.
Lines extending to northwest Dallas,
southeast Dallas, and extending
farther east are to open in the next couple of years. - Mike
