History on
a Pinhead
The entry for Collin County’s Fairview (one of 14 communities in Texas
that share that name) in the Handbook of Texas doesn’t mention an
early history – just population figures. The entry begins in the “late
1960s” when the town’s population doubled from 175 (1960) to 325 (1970).
For the 1990 census, the town reported 1,554 residents, which increased
by 2000 to 2,644. |
