The McDonald in Cuero

Cuero, Texas

"This McDonald sits on the corner of the main intersection in town (Victoria Hwy & Esplanade).

Prior to the building of the restaurant, a gas station sat on this site. Numerous tragedies occurred over the decades that this station was open, most notably a 4 year old boy was accidentally killed when he was run over by his mother after filling up in the late 1960's. Also in the early 1980's a mechanic working there was crushed under a car and killed when the lift malfunctioned. (As it turned out, later THAT same day local police attempted to serve an arrest warrant charging him with the homicide of his daughter who had disappeared at the age of 6 over 10 years earlier).

Diners and workers at this small McDonald have heard unexplainable sounds. The toilets often flush by themselves, and many times in the last few years, the walk-in cooler was switched off from the inside during the night... Unconfirmed." - Ida Klinke, July 08, 2002

"... I grew up in Cuero and now live in San Antonio. ... I have spoken with a few of my friends (from whom I learned of these happenings) and the only Cuero Resident that is willing to be named is a friend of mine (and local business person) Linda Bluntzer. Thank You. - Ida Klinke"
