The 1905 Former Schleicher County Jail

Schleicher County

Eldorado, Texas

The 1905 Schleicher County jail was built with limestone by T.S Hodges. It sits on the courthouse grounds at US 190 and US 277, the main intersection in town. Built with a gallows, that was never used, the jail was vacated in the early 1960s. - Terry Jeanson, April 2008
