History
in a Pecan ShellThe
community has no 19th century history since it developed as a post WWII
suburb. It laid its foundations in the late 1940s and incorporated in 1955. By
1960 the population was 783, more than doubling to 2,299 for 1970. Growth stabilized
and the 2,841 people who lived here in 1990 had only increased to 2,983 by the
2000 Census.
