Pecos River Bridge

US290
4 Miles SE of Sheffield, Texas
Photographer's Note:
"The Sheffield bridge is about four miles southeast of Sheffield on US290 over the Pecos River. As is often the case, the bridge approach was fenced off on both ends necessitating the crossing of a barbed wire fence. Having several hundred feet from the actual bridge before I could see it, I became aware of how exposed I was to anyone who might want my transportation more than I did. I thus made a hasty retreat without any photos of the sides. " - Barclay Gibson, January 25, 2008
