History in
a Pecan ShellIn
1904 the St. Louis, Brownsville and Mexico Railway was completed and the King
Ranch operated the site as a shipping point. It never developed into a town
but was one of the ranches division headquarters.
After WWII
Norias had the railroad depot and a school for ranch families. The cemetery remains
but the “town” only appears today as an entry point to the King Ranch. |
