History
on a Pinhead
Settled in the late 1850s alongside Trout Creek, a store
opened in the late 1870s and the watercourse and community were renamed.
The
town received a post office in 1878 which held on for 98 years, closing in 1976.
The population has always been small, reporting only 30 residents from the 1940s
through the 1980s. The current population is unknown and the community only appears
on detailed county maps.
