History
on a Pinhead
Fly's history centers around it's 1907 school. 116 students were taught
by two teachers. By the mid-20s local landowners had moved to Hondo
and leased their lands to tenant farmers.
Fly still had the school as late as 1947 but it was reported as being
abandoned in the 1980s. Locals say the school (now on private property)
is haunted. |
