The
Ochiltree County Courthouse
Date - 1928 Architect - Mann & Co. Style - Texas Renaissance
Material - Brick, steel and concrete Addition - 1974 This is the
county's second courthouse. (The first in 1890.) In Texas Renaissance Style, the
simple lines and good details make this courthouse a fine example of between-the-wars
architecture. On the corner of Main and Sixth Street.

Note: The 1928 Ochiltree County courthouse - "The original south
side entrance and half of the rear side of the building have been obscured by
the 1974 addition. Locals informed me that it's pronounced "AH-kull-tree.""
