    John Stankewitz Bio

I am a photographer based in Arlington, Texas, specializing in nature, wildlife, rural scenes and "anything interesting or unusual." I feel very blessed to have such a beautiful backyard in Texas to explore with my camera. Texas is such a diverse state and I have thoroughly enjoyed exploring its many treasures. I enjoy traveling the roadways of Texas and finding interesting subjects to photograph. I hope that my photographs show my excitement for photography and offer a glimpse of Texas to those who have never been here.

My Texas photographs span from 2004 to the present and all were taken digitally with an Olympus E-System digital camera and lenses. I use the Olympus E-1 camera body with the 14-54, 50-200, and 50 Macro lenses. This system gives me a very rugged and lightweight camera with a focal range of 28mm to 560mm (35mm equivalent) with just two lenses.
