History
on a Pinhead The community has no 19th Century history and
very little in the 20th. It sprang up after 1950 as an alternative to living in
Gonzales.
If something noteworthy happens in Little New York, we hope someone will let us
know.

Note: "Little New York just consists of this abandoned house
and the Church. The cemetery is listed several places as St. James but the sign
says Brasco.
There was something captivating about this cemetery. Its
remoteness, its disrepair and the old tree. I looked at the gravestone with the
mother and child who died in 2004 and couldn't help thinking about how they may
have died or the woman who died at 38 back in 1940." -
