History on a Pinhead

James W. Westbrook, the town’s first postmaster modestly named the community after himself in 1911. The town showed a population of just 50 residents during the 1930s. It also lost its post office that decade. Jamestown reached its population zenith in the 1960s with 130 residents. It has since declined to a mere 70 residents.
