Photographer's Note:
“This is another spot on a map that has all but disappeared. It is located on a dusty one lane no-name road that is best found leaving Highway 82, two miles E of Detroit. It’s about 10 miles W of Clarksville. It can also be accessed from FM 410 south of Detroit. All that is here is a few houses and some scattered farm buildings. 

This is, of course, not the only Liberty in Texas but it’s the only one in Red River County. There must have been some sort of town there in the past to warrant being put on a map.” - Gerald Massey
