Oh Silv'ry Moon

by David Knape

Oh silv'ry moon
like an old spoon
so full of pits
and dings

How is it that
you still inspire
still make young lovers
sing

Could it be
your silver glow
is the core
of your esteem

Can't be denied
your lovely light
makes Cupid
take to wing.
