I
am a comic on the stage
you've heard of stand-up acts,
but lately I am
ready for
an act that's more relaxed,
an idea has occured to me
believe
me it's profound,
instead of being a stand-up guy
I'll do it sitting down
Jokes are so much easier
since I've made the bold transiton,
lines can
be delivered just as well
from a reclined position,
I roll out the ole
Lazy-Boy
kick back and it astounds
the audience can't believe someone
can be funny sitting down
Let others do the harder way
if they elect
to stand,
I would never interfere
I respect the standing man,
but
I prefer the sitting mode
believe me it's a gas,
to get a standing ovation
when
i'm sitting on my ass.
