of warmth
that wraps around a dreary room
the tail of the dog
is uncontrollable
excitement
when the master enters the room
the tail of the dog

a medicine that eases
all aches and pains
worries and cares
that have
balled up inside
the tail of the dog is the muted voice
of pure devotion
and
unconditional love.
