History in a Pecan Shell

The town was established sometime before 1900. A store opened in 1910 but only lasted five short years, A post office was granted in 1910 under the name Lomo Alto when the community had a population of only 10.

The oil boom of the 30s came and went – leaving no improvement to the would-be town. By the early 1950s there was only scattered residences.
