History in a Pecan Shell

According to her article published April 11, 2005 in the Brazosport Facts, columnist Marie Beth Jones reported that Rowanville was only in operation from 1905 to 1911.

Named after lawyers turned town-builders William A. and Louis H. Rowland, Rowanville was platted along the rails of the Gulf Coast Railroad.
