Denton
County has had four courthouses: 1851, 1858, 1877 and 1896
The current Denton County Courthouse was built in 1896 and is probably
the most photographed courthouse in the state - after the Ellis County
courthouse in Waxahachie.
The architect was the renowned courthouse architect W.C. Dodson. The
courthouse was restored in 1987.
