The Centennial Statue of Jim Bowie

One of the 14 statues erected for the 1936 Texas Centennial celebration, this larger-than-life bronze was designed by sculptor William M. McVey with W.W. Watkins providing the design for the Marble Falls granite base.

Bowie, one of the major players in the Alamo drama, is the namesake of Bowie County, Texas.
