The
Present Goliad County Courthouse - Goliad,
TexasDate
- 1894 Architect - English architect Alfred Giles Style - Second Empire
Material - Stone and brick The building originally had a clock tower
and turrets that were removed in a 1942 hurricane. They were finally replaced
in 2003. An
earlier tornado in 1902 forced the courthouse to be used as a hospital and morgue
(plaque on courthouse lawn). |
