History on a Pinhead
The community come about with the discovery of the nearby Pleak oilfield
in the 1920s. About 150 students attended the school in the mid 1920s,
although no early population figures are available. The town incorporated
in 1980 as the Village of Pleak and the population went from 746 in
1992 to the current 947. |
