in a Pecan Shell
The community was once on the Wichita Falls and Southern Railroad. It was named
for local landowner and rancher John Crittendon Bullock who donated land for the
school and station. Little history is available, but a school was still in operation
in the 30s, until the students were transferred to Newcastle
schools around 1941. The school and railroad switch had disappeared by the mid
