History
in a Pecan Shell
Named after the creek of the same name, Nickel
Creek (the town) has no 19th Century history. It wasn’t until the late 1940s when
the town appeared. The population peaked in the late 1960s when it was reported
that 16 people lived here. The town once had a motel in its heyday, but it has
since closed. The population was given as two in 2005. |
