Ash Creek, TX 1881 postmark

While little historical information is available for the community of Ash Creek, what is known comes from this postal cover from the John Germann Collection.

While there was a community near here at one time only the creek (after which the community was named) is left.

The creek runs from just NW of Bynum twenty miles to its mouth on Navarro Mills Reservoir (five miles south of Irene).
