    On back- Guarding against Cotton Thieves / Armed guards stand by as a picker safely unloads his sack into the Cotton Wagon on the farm of Ben Ivey forty miles from here along the Mexico Border. The farmers in the vicinity have had to post guards against the depredations of Raiders from across the Rio Grande. The men in this photograph are only 100 yards from the river.
