One mile S of Hwy 83
Garciasville was a supply point for Spanish-speaking ranchers in the late 1800s. The post office opened in 1929 and the town reached a population of 50 in 1950.

Today a few business operate, but most business is conducted in McAllen or Rio Grande City.
