Charlene Beatty Beauchamp

Charlene B Beauchamp
Charlene with her daughter Ashley

Charlene Beatty Beauchamp is a native West Texan who was born in Snyder (Scurry County) and was raised in Odessa. She returned to school in the Spring of 1994 and graduated in 1999 with a BA in Criminology from UTPB.

In January of 2000 she took a job in Kermit, Winkler County as an Adult Probation Officer. She loves her job and small town life.

She extends an invitation to visit Kermit, which she says is home to some of the friendliest folks in West Texas. Since everyone we've met in West Texas has been friendly, that's saying a lot. She also says Kermit has some of the best down home cooking in Texas at the family owned restaurants.

She enjoys research and history and maintains many genealogy websites for West Texas Counties.

She has acquired a digital camera and is now photographing the counties that she maintains. A good part of her work could be described as a sort of illustrated cemetery census and provides an invaluable resource for genealogical research.

The photo of Charlene shows her with her first grandchild, Ashley. Charlene is allowing us to show her photos of places that we can't get to easily and she has an eye for capturing images of what our readers find fascinating.
